Stunning Pod Sofa and Rocking Chairs designed by Walter S Chenery for Lurashell (Model - Gemini) c.1960.
This fantastic mid century 'space age' set has a wonderful design and is upholstered in off-white boucle. The sofa and chairs have beautiful shapes and hold the fabric in a black fiberglass shell. A highly unique and timeless design the four slim angled legs give the sofa a delicate 'floating' appearance. The rockers have an organic shape and the teak base is made with a eye for detail and provides a nice, smooth rock. The design is most likely inspired by the Gemini star sign, as there are some resemblances in the shapes.
