Danish Teak Modular Wall Unit by Peter Sorensen for PS Systems, 1960s

An exceptional Danish modular wall system designed by Preben Sørensen for PS System, Denmark, circa 1960s.

Beautifully crafted in richly figured teak, the system combines open shelving with a series of floating storage and display cabinets, all suspended from slender wall-mounted uprights. The individual components can be positioned at varying heights and rearranged to create different configurations, making the piece as functional today as when it was designed.

The expansive four-bay arrangement provides an impressive amount of display and concealed storage while retaining the light, architectural quality characteristic of the finest Danish wall systems of the period. Brass-toned supports provide a subtle contrast against the grain.
