Leather & Chrome Skoghaug Industries Reclining Swivel Armchair and Ottoman, 1970s
A striking 1970s reclining swivel armchair and matching ottoman by Skoghaug Industries of Norway, upholstered in deep green leather and set on sculptural chrome bases. The chair combines a high, generously padded back with broad cushioned arms and a supportive contoured seat, creating the relaxed comfort associated with Scandinavian lounge furniture of the period.
The polished tubular chrome frame wraps around the upholstered body and continues into a five-point swivel base, while the matching ottoman repeats the same leather and chrome construction. The chair reclines for added comfort, making the set ideal for reading or lounging.
A distinctive piece of 1970s Norwegian design, with a strong combination of soft leather upholstery, exposed metalwork, and mechanical functionality. The original Skoghaug Industries label remains present beneath the chair.
