Mid Century China Entryway Cabinet by Nathan Furniture

This vintage mid-century china cabinet was produced in England by Nathan Furniture during 1960s. Made from teak, this minimalist cabinet is slim in depth and ideal for an entryway, with glass sliding doors with shelved storage and drop down cupboard at the top, below is more cabinet storage with the cabinet doors featuring beautiful wooden pulls.

MAKER:

Nathan Steinberg arrived in London from Tarnopol, Austria in 1895, aged 13. He worked as an apprentice cabinet maker and in 1910 set up his own business producing bedroom furniture. The company became Stonehill Furniture after the Second World War and a public company in 1964. The main factory was in Angel Factory Colony, Edmonton, north London, with several other factories including a former Co-op factory in Pelaw, Co. Durham. Nathan’s sons, Philip and Maurice Steinberg ran the business until their retirement in the 1980s.
