Designed by Malcolm David Walker for Dalescraft, this elegant mid-century sideboard is a fine example of British furniture inspired by Scandinavian design. Produced in Yorkshire during the 1960s, Dalescraft pieces are highly regarded for their exceptional craftsmanship and comparatively limited production, making them increasingly sought after today.

Crafted in beautifully figured teak, the sideboard features three sculptural solid teak drawer pulls spanning the upper drawer line, three spacious cupboard compartments with adjustable shelving, and original working locks with key. The cabinet is raised on a refined solid teak base with tapered legs and a gently sculpted stretcher, creating the light, architectural silhouette characteristic of Malcolm David Walker's designs.

MAKER:
Dalescraft was a small, fashionable company based in Pudsey run by Malcolm David Walker who acted as both MD and designer. As a child Walker built model aircraft and later restored cars and boats. He was an accomplished cabinetmaker in his own right, which can have only aided his design talents.
