Large Mid Century Tall Highboard Credenza by Johannes Andersen
A striking Danish modern teak highboard credenza attributed to Johannes Andersen. (Denmark). Featuring an exceptionally clean architectural silhouette paired with thoughtful multifunctional storage throughout. Elevated on tapered solid teak legs, the piece combines the scale and presence of a room divider with the practicality of a credenza, making it equally suited for dining, office, or living spaces.
The façade is defined by a beautifully balanced arrangement of sliding teak doors surrounding a bank of sculpted inset drawers, each fitted with elongated recessed pulls that add depth and contrast to the warm teak grain. The stepped profile and softly rounded outer edges give the cabinet a refined sculptural quality while maintaining a minimalist Scandinavian aesthetic.
Behind the upper sliding doors are adjustable shelves and a series of pull-out felt-lined trays, ideal for organizing flatware, barware, documents, or collectibles. The lower section provides generous concealed storage alongside a central drawer stack and a hidden pull-out writing or serving surface, adding versatility.
