MID CENTURY LONG TEAK CREDENZA BY NEIL MORRIS FOR MORRIS OF GLASGOW
This vintage credenza was made in Glasgow, Scotland during the 1950s and designed by Neil Morris for Morris of Glasgow as part of their 'Cumbrae' range. Produced in Zebrawood the grain is striking throughout, with clean lines and plenty of storage there is a bottle cabinet to the left, central cupboards and three drawers on the right.

MAKER:
Morris of Glasgow was founded by Harris Morris in 1884. Originally a manufacturer and supplier of furniture for ocean liners, cinemas, office and domestic furniture. The company became innovators in wood technology and design especially in pioneering laminated wood to shape chairs and tables. They played an important role in the manufacture of goods for the 2nd world war making amongst other things rifle butts and helicopter blades. They were commissioned to make a bedroom suite for Queen Elizabeth and Prince Phillip and later were commissioned to refit the QE2 for the Royal Family.
The Morris Group bought the license to supply G Plan Cabinets and Morris won contracts to supply British Embassies with desks and cabinets continuing their great heritage in office furniture.
