This Mid-century secretary desk by Herbert. E Gibbs was produced in England during the 1960s. This stunning secretary desk features a dropdown writing surface with a fully fitted interior behind it, below are is a storage cupboard and a china cabinet at the top. This is a quality constructing with plenty of storage by a revered British furniture manufacturer.

DIMENSIONS:
36" wide x 16" deep x 60" high (3" desk height).

CONDITION:
This fantastic cabinet is in excellent vintage condition. Please study the pictures carefully for a more accurate depiction and please get in touch if you have any other questions.

MAKER:
Herbert E. Gibbs trained as a cabinet maker at a technical college and also taught carpentry at a school. He founded Herbert E. Gibbs, a furniture manufacturing company in approximately the 1920s. The firm was based at De Beauvoir Road, London and later First Avenue, Montague Road, London. The firm produced furniture for domestic and commercial use. This was sold direct to the public and trade and through retailers across the UK, including Heals.
