This vintage mid-century vanity stool was by produced by White & Newton of Portsmouth, England. Produced in teak, the frame a has a beautiful design and a real Scandinavian influence that was typical at that time. Perfect for a vanity stool or perhaps, in the lounge as an extra seat.

18" wide x 15.5" deep x 20" high (seat - 17" high)

CONDITION:
This fantastic vanity stool is in excellent vintage condition and the seat has new gray fabric. Please study the pictures carefully for a more accurate depiction and please get in touch if you have any questions.

MAKER:
White and Newton of Portsmouth were on the cutting edge of furniture design and production in Britain throughout the mid 20th century. Under the design direction of the talented Arthur Edwards, the firm produced stunning high end furniture often defined by its clean modern lines and stark linear form.

The company favoured the use of teak as a staple design material but also on occasion embraced luxurious timbers such as rosewood for its high end aesthetic. White and Newton furniture was a hit with trendsetters of the day and today the timeless designs remain cool and contemporary.
